From Shutter comes the psychological thriller _The Apology_. On Christmas Eve Darlene Hagen is visited by her ex-brother-in-law who’s come to her to confess a secret about her daughter’s disappearance 20-years ago. Anna Gunn and Linus Roache both give incredibly strong performances, and the script is especially well-written, with some extremely intense and captivating scenes. Also, writer/director Alison Locke does an impressive job at creating a feeling of isolation and confinement; so as to trap the characters and force then to confront each other. Though at times, it seems a little stagey and the plot is a bit predictable. Yet while it has a few weaknesses, overall _The Apology_ is a riveting film that’s extraordinarily compelling.

I don't know... Every time I see Anna Gunn in a movie, I can't unsee Skyler White and it triggers me.
