Simple effective 80s horror. Build up is about 90% of the movie, with not a whole lot happening until about 75% of the way through.

Pretty good Poe type of story. It'#39;s more of a horror flick for a younger generation, but as such it'#39;s quite effective.

A unique and suitably creepy telekinesis occult horror boasting some great visuals and effective chills. I'd say it's quite impressive for a PG horror which doesn't have a body count. It has two storylines that doesn't seem to flow together at first, but they surprisingly come together pretty well and I find myself enjoying the spooky atmosphere of the mausoleum. It does take a while to get going, but once it unleashes all the goodness it gets really fun and the batshit ending is well worth it. Some of the inventive lighting in here is also pretty cool. Surprised at how much I liked this.

Not very scary, but interesting cast and good performances.

_**A Night to Dismember**_ Wanting to join a small gang in high school, a girl (Meg Tilly) has to spend the night in a mausoleum with the other girls trying to break her. The problem is that a dubious expert in bioenergy was just entombed there. Adam West and Melissa Newman are on hand as husband & wife in side roles. "One Dark Night" (1982) features interesting theorizing on telekinesis and the corresponding bioenergy, as well as a nice assortment of women. Other than Meg and Melissa, there’s Elizabeth Daily, Robin Evans and Leslie Speights. Tilly proves her acting chops as the protagonist. While there’s a simplicity to the proceedings and the colorful effects are comic booky, there are enough highlights to make this an entertaining spooky flick from the early 80s with some ghastly moments in the last act. The film runs 1 hour, 29 minutes, and was shot entirely in Los Angeles, including Hollywood Mausoleum, Angelus-Rosedale Cemetery, Santa Monica Pier and 2nd Street Tunnel between Hill and Figueroa. Decently made supernatural-horror film with some great make-up and visual effects. The performances are pretty standard but did like Meg Tilly in the lead. A bit slow in the middle but once things pick up for the third act, it's a lot of fun. **3.5/5**
