This movie looks like it was made with a paperclip and $2 bill. What an utterly unremarkable, weirdly inappropriate movie; like genuinely, I am clueless as to who this was made for since it was seemingly intended for kids... But one of the main characters is literally suicidal as his whole personality. But in terms of actual quality, this film looks terrible, wastes it's unique premise, has no likable or interesting characters, has a forced romance plot, a moral tacked onto the ending without any regard for the content prior, the soundtrack feels utterly tone deaf, and I could go on and on. But probably worst of all is the voice acting, among whom only Molly Shannon and Steve Buscemi give half-decent performances. Really the only thing this film has going for it is that Eva is at least solidly likable and it's off key sense of black comedy, which is just morbid enough to at least enough to make me laugh on occasion.

An imaginative take on the character form the Frankenstein series, Igor is a bit of fun but doesn’t quite live up to its promise. After his mad scientist dies, Igor attempts to become a scientist himself by entering the annual Evil Science Fair. John Cusack, Molly Shannon, Steve Buscemi, John Cleese, and Jay Leno lead the cast and give fairly good performances. However, the character designs are bizarre and the plot is formulaic. The concept behind the story, a city dedicated to being mad scientists and Igors, is pretty interesting but the film never fully commits to it; opting instead for a clichéd message about choosing to be good. Igor is mildly entertaining and delivers some laughs, but it’s completely forgettable.
