I'd love to say _"I have no words"_ but I'm not sure that's ever happened. I **will** admit, however, to being completely baffled as to what I just watched: it was so completely awful that I'm still trying to figure out if it was deliberately that bad or did someone just cough up enough money to actually have this thing produced?!! Seriously, it was so utterly awful that it was ... You know how some movies are _"so bad, it's good"_ ? This wasn't one of those...but it _was_ , however, _"so bad, it's funny"_ . I really cannot sit here and tell you that this was a B-movie horror flick... This would be along the lines of maybe a "D"-movie...or further down the line, somewhere along the "M"s or something. Way back when I was in the military, USA Network used to have this Friday Night "Up All Night" double-feature horror special and it had some of the stupidest/funniest/weirdest campy B-movie horror films, such as _Chopper Chicks From Zombie Town_ or _Flesh-Eating Mothers_ , etc etc. My buddies and I used to play pinochle while those movies played in the background and we would all just roar hilariously at the movies. They were deliberately campy, cheesy, and (in most cases) really grotesque. This _Midnight Movie_ should have been (and maybe it was?) on one of those Friday Night double-feature roles (preferably the second one, when you're REALLY stoned) but it just...maybe it was just me?...but it seemed like this movie was really trying to take itself seriously??? I honestly couldn't tell you whether this was **supposed** to be this bad, or whether it just really was but someone went ahead and produced it anyway. In any event, it's an absolutely awful movie but it's so stinkin' cheesy that you can't NOT watch. Seriously. If you're in the mood for something that is just completely off the wall, with a little bit of gory bloodshed, horrible acting, a ridiculous storyline, and just overall is so atrocious that it's hilarious, you should check this out. You have been warned...but honestly, it's one of the funniest movies - without meaning to be funny, I think? - that I've watched. Mercifully, it's only 79 minutes long but wow... what a ride. Absolutely awful...and so funny that you owe it to yourself to sit through it.
