1st time I REALLY paid attention to it and I am awe-struck! I did not know that Friedkin directed this cult ....The exquisite manipulation of character motivations as it became embedded into an over-arching deconsctruction of moral values ....This is a masterpiece of dark humour dripping in satire at the genius level only matched by the total magnificence of the ensemble acting!!!

Imagine if Rob Zombie directed a '90s Tarantino movie.
_Killer Joe_ is a film I had heard about way before I saw it. Given the reputation, and the NC-17, I thought it was going to be brutal.
Now, while the movie has some nudity, and violent moments, it's surprisingly tame. There is a term common More

On the one hand, Killer Joe does get better as it progresses, but on the other, it's also the first Friedkin movie I haven't loved.

Final rating:★★½ - Had a lot that appealed to me, didn’t quite work as a whole.

_Killer Joe_ had the making to be a genuinely great film, but the quality control in the writing room limits the results.
