Nakarai Sei and Hagiwara Kazuaki, colleagues at the same company, share a quiet frustration: they both long for closeness with the ones they love but find it out of reach. Nakarai is in love with his childhood friend, Fujiwara Kazuaki, and wants to deepen their bond, but Fujiwara resists any change. Meanwhile, Hagiwara’s relationship with his longtime girlfriend, Kaori, has grown distant, with intimacy fading and his doubts mounting.
