The most predictable Royal Rumble since when Hogan won two years in a row. Didn’t even set up Edge vs AJ Styles at WM. Instead Edge wasn’t even in the Royal Rumble.
Then AJ was eliminated by a dude in suspenders. No real surprise entry’s other than Bad Bunni and Shane McMahon. Instead of people that bust their asses and deserve to be there, like Balor and Cesaro.
Then Brock predictably won the Rumble by eliminating Drew. Which everyone saw coming. He was number 30 and quickly eliminated everyone and won. What a lazy victory without breaking a sweat.
The Women’s Rumble was a way better one. Charlotte at least didn’t win. But Shayne and Rhea were pushed aside so Ronda Rousey could be handed a Rumble win. As soon as she returned.
The highlight of the show was Lashley beating Brock. It did unfortunately make it more predictable Brock was winning the Rumble though. Since Roman caused Brock to lose.
Brock vs Roman 100 being rumored to being the plans for WM didn’t help either. It’s lazy booking but the marks still love it. So Vince would book it for Mania every year if the marks get excited every time.
