A solid slow burning spy flick that certainly is for the patient ones. I rather enjoyed it.

I would I could say I enjoyed it or I didn't. I am usually all for the genre and the kind of stories. But I have to admit I had problems following the plot, the characters (who is who) and their motives. This is not something you watch casually. Pace is slow, almos crawling at times. It is a classic thriller of old.

If you thought the 2011 remake was deliberate well, this is a deliberate six episode miniseries adaptation of the John le Carre novel. It takes its time. I tried to watch this drama series a year or so ago and didn’t get far. It isn’t bad but it has a slow pace, which I am usually fine with, but I am not into spy stories. I gave it a second try recently and had no trouble finishing it this time.
