I came across this mini-series lead by Rufus Sewell whom I also watched and liked from mini-series "ZEN (2011)". I like the script and loved the mysterious final.

It's an okay two-parter and a mediocre adaptation at best. The utter bleakness and dreariness of the special made it hard for me to rate it highly.

I didn’t know Christie did supernatural. I’m not sure she actually did but this show is very “ooh something supernatural is happening” more than anything else. The biggest problem is that the producers seem to think that mood – slow motion shots and vaguely eerie, Wicker Man ish costumes – is a substitute for story and character. And it really, really isn’t.
