Simply put this was a rollercoaster of a show, with some unexpected characters. Who knew the story behind The God Father was just as intriguing as the movie itself. I'm not sure authenticity of all the details but it was exciting and very fun to watch, see how it came together with all these amazing characters. After this show I am genuinely a fan of Miles Teller, and Matthew Goode was just as good in his role. It is a short show I highly recommend to watch, you end up wanting to watch The God Father after watching this show.

Really good show. Cast works well together and the plot moves at a good clip and doesn't stray to far from making the movie. Going to have to watch the movies now!

I totally understand people having issues with this show and it's historical inaccuracies but i just enjoyed watching this show. Matthew Goode steals every scene he is in but special shout out has to go to Dan Fogler who plays Francis Ford Coppola. I really enjoyed his performance and Miles Teller also does a good job of a navigating the different worlds explored in the show. The maffia part was definitely the weakest aspect whilst I found the actual production and studio issues to be very interesting to watch.

Score: 7.5/10

I wanted to hate this show, but it kept me quiet engaged, even if it feels like revisionist history geared towards boomers

This was a fine piece of storytelling. Were there liberties taken in Albert Ruddy's original material? Most likely. But, that doesn't make this mini-series any less entertaining. The story, coupled w/ some really amazing performances, made this quite an enjoyable watch. Juno Temple and Matthew Goode particularly stand out as having given tremendous renditions of their characters. Burn Gorman, Dan Fogler, Nora Arnezeder, Miles Teller, Colin Hanks, Josh Zuckerman, Anthony Ippolito, Justin Chambers, and Giovanni Ribisi were all great, as well. If my rating were based solely on acting, I would've awarded this a 10/10.

I enjoy these period pieces that take a deep-dive into the era from which the story derived. It adds a lot of authenticity to the creation, and this was no different. If you're a fan of The Godfather, you'll likely love this. If you enjoy stories w/ lush arrangements of well-defined characters and multiple moving pieces that make it seem as if the well-known finished product would never come together, this may be the story for you.

More than a tribute to the movie "The Godfather" (1972), the series is a set of anecdotes of dubious credibility, a revenge of a producer that has been denied, and that elaborates a biography in which the most important decisions were his. If as reality it's debatable, as a fandom that introduces the filming of a masterpiece it has exciting moments such as the collaboration Coppola/Puzo or the filming in Sicily.

It's definitely a 10/10. If I could, I would give it the best tv show of the year award. A must watch.

@kingy72 Peter Bert, who bought the rights of the book for Paramount, wrote an article in Deadline about how Albert S. Ruddy's version isn't really true: <br /> https://deadline.com/2022/04/the-offer-facts-the-godfather-production-peter-bart-1235001960/

Loved it. Some of the characters were portrayed a little campy instead of cold blooded businessmen and mafia killers, but overall a great telling of one of the greatest periods in filmmaking.
