This series was really funny with a good playlist

I always preferred this series to One Tree Hill because it takes itself a little less seriously which gives it a slightly more intelligent tone.

then the opening credits are really iconic and immediately put you in a good mood

Seth Cohen's character is such a sunny and funny character it's nice to see a geek who looks a little more like reality.

the couple Sandy and Kirsten are really great, both are so caring and have such a bond with their child

Ryan is a character who quickly becomes endearing given his past, but at the same time his sad, solitary character with a big heart, but who ends up opening up as the series progresses, becomes so great that they start from a cliché to arrive at something very human.

For me, the characters of The OC evolve better than any other character in a teen series; they have an intelligent and not exaggerated evolution.

Just don't expect anything...

One tree hill was better because more characters. Here they go round and round changing from each character to add drama. Season 1 was great. The rest are just repeating drama.

Probably not a fair rating, since I have watch this show around 10 times, so it is hard to appreciate it. But it is truly good, If you have seen and liked On Tree Hill or 13 Reasons why. Then you will enjoy this one. One of the best teen drama shows without supernatural stuff.
