This isn't an awful show to watch. No, the sets look great, the costumes, everything looks right. And the women do look beautiful. But I can see why this got cancelled. The show has no clear line about what it wants to be. There's a lot of romantic stuff like love and passion and that kind of thing. Then there are the parts about the depression and what that meant for the industry and the people. This is also the time where Nationalism is on the rise and we get a taste of that as well with some very ahrd to swallow sory parts. We also get a lot of the cheap drama like lying and cheating, even murder. But that's just it - it everything and nothing.

And the end just feels like the writer didn't knew either where to go. The main character just drops dead. Finish - end of story. Now, while there is some closure in that and in theory the arc of about every character is finished it still left me a bit unsatisfied.

But it's ok entertainment if you into that kind of show and it's not many episodes.
