An ultimately interesting watch, though it's a bit of a slow burn with a not overly-gripping opener. Certainly the first half of the series could probably be condensed into a single episode and made more coherent as a result. The back-half of the series did make up for it some degree, as a decent pace and focus were achieved. That said, and I don't think this is much of a spoiler to say so but, I think this show is primarily about the sexual abuse case, and the murder of Sister Catherine was very much secondary, so don't watch this expecting some big murder investigation.

The conclusion is that I watched 7 hours of investigation with no result, people liying on the camera, people covering the crime defending themselves... I just dont understand the point of this documentary. It was just a confesion of several women about something they think happened but after 50 years no one belives them and old man who all think did it is playing stupid on the camera.

The series does an excellent job of exploring the sexual abuse allegations made against the Catholic Church, which has been an ongoing issue for decades. However, while the series centers around the murder of Sister Cathy Cesnik, it seems to focus more on the sexual allegations and their impact on the victims than on the case itself. This is a bit disappointing as it would have been great to see more evidence on the actual case rather than solely on the sexual allegations. Nonetheless, _The Keepers_ is still a well-made documentary that highlights the significance of these allegations and their impact on society as a whole.

One of the slow-burning type docu that focuses on intrapersonal dialogues re: sexual abuse and trauma, and people trying to find closure via crime-solving and evidence-gathering. Really moving and gut-wrenching but wouldn’t recommend for someone who just wants a straight out crime docu as finding a conclusion in this is seemingly unreachable. You really feel for the victims and the show takes you on their journey of hope and persistence. If you’re not into that sort of thing, the pace and storytelling will not work for you.
