The series does an excellent job of exploring the complex legal and ethical issues surrounding Demjanjuk's case, including the challenges of identifying and prosecuting war criminals decades after their crimes were committed. It also provides a window into the pain and trauma experienced by Holocaust survivors and their families, as they confront the possibility of seeing their tormentors brought to justice. The filmmakers do an excellent job of balancing interviews with legal experts, historians, and survivors with dramatic reenactments of key events in Demjanjuk's life. Overall, _The Devil Next Door_ is a compelling series that sheds light on an important chapter in history and raises important questions about justice, guilt, and responsibility.

Harrowing doesn't quite cover this. The footage is raw and horrific. I remember reading the book many years ago and wanted to watch the series to see how different it was - if at all. Incredible viewing - uncofortable yes - essential ...just maybe.

Horrifying scenes in the entirety of the documentary. In the end I can't believe he got tried for his actual convictions and just passed away before receiving the final decision. Unbelievable.
