I know it's ultimately created for kids in mind but I just wish there wasn't the child involved in the storyline. Why do they always need a kid in these shows to protect and move the story along? I am pretty bored but that doesn't mean I think it's bad. It's just not for me and that's okay.

This.
This right here is the closest thing we can get to Republic Commando The Animated Series.
Except there, i wouldnt expect Sev to betray his teammates, Scorch maybe? But Sev? No WAY!

Disappointing series so far. The movement animations of the characters are so unnatural that I thought it's a 2000s series.

Story is always the same linear thing. No surprises, no plot twists.

I don't expect the remaining 2 episodes will change my experience. ST Lower Decks is so much better than this so far.

After season 2, they need to rename the show to The Boring Batch.

It's watchable but there's too much fillers for me to enjoy it fully (especially in season 3)
edit : also the ending isn't worth all those filler episodes

This deserves to be a video game aimed at teens in the style of something you might have seen more of in the early 2000s. I can picture leading the squad through missions where you command each character either indirectly through orders, or by switching and playing as them. With multiplayer these days you could definitely coop your way through the game, leaving any unplayed characters as AI controlled. Being set missions by your 'boss' Cid, shooting stormtroopers, solving puzzles, visiting places you've seen on the big screen.

It's almost as if the entire premise was designed with that in mind before being turned into a TV show. That doesn't mean it's a bad TV show, quite the opposite, but it feels like Disney should be all over this spinoff opportunity.

Some highs highs, some banal lows. Worth watching for the visuals, action setpieces, and said highs, but I was always left wanting more. Outside of Crosshair and maybe Omega and Tech, there weren’t much arcs to care about. I still could not tell you what Wrecker’s arc was. Hunter didn’t have one beyond the ‘grizzled and weary dad caring for daughter figure’ we’ve seen a million times now. And Echo’s arc was ‘I can do more away from the Batch’, which was a feeling I often thought was true of the show. The Crosshair episodes of him slowly realizing the Empire was not worth fighting for and cared nothing for him and the clones were the high points, compelling and tragic and multifaceted in a way the missions of the week were not. But when he rejoins the Batch, this is lost for a season more concerned with setting up more spinoffs and, like most Star Wars these days not called Andor, setting up and rehabilitating the sequel trilogy. It’s a good enough show, but in comparison to Clone Wars and Rebels, it doesn’t fly as high or stick the landing as smoothly.

- Similar formula to Mandalorian. Checkpoints and mission in various places.

- timeline set during the execution of order 66.

- memorable characters and chemistry. Wrecker is the best goofball. Omega is a child but slowly proven herself to be useful and not a burden.

- Satisfying action content and plot. The clash of ideals and taking down different paths.

- 8/10

Easily the best Star Wars since the 80s. God, it makes me pine for some animation in the Terminator or Aliens universe.

This shit is so so good!
Musical score is great!
Crosshair becoming their number role enemy.
The retribution made by Crosshair to save AZI and Omega when the tanks started leaking under Kaminoa (the lab where all the clones were created).

Every episode being a mission to get for Cid (the green lizard lady).

Honestly talk about ending a filler filled season with a filler. IM sorry but this show needs a major overhaul. REMOVE the filler and make it 8 eps full on story. Right now im not impressed... IMHO and i love STAR WARS. I just found this show irrelevant

Star Wars is turning into the MCU, relying on inter-connectivity and cameos, some work better than others - it makes a big universe feel smaller than ever. Some work better than others but at this point this time period has been done to death and I just wish the franchise would try something new. It still can't figure out what it wants its audience to be.

@milo123 They, quite literally, constantly "try something new". Have you not been watching? Have you ignored the variety of the recent announcements? And the reason this time period is "done to death" (though I very much disagree with your pessimistic take on it) is because it has proven, time and again, to be incredibly popular and a point of intrigue. Many people are curious about what Star Wars looked like immediately following the Republic's downfall, and this show is yet another of its kind lending insight into just that.

Inter-connectivity and recent cameos have been done correctly in Star Wars and excite avid fans, so your gripe there is unjustified. And Star Wars does its best to cater to all audiences, making your comment that it "can't figure out what it wants its audience to be" a moot point. There's something for everyone. I don't see the validity of any of your above issues with this franchise other than to prove yourself a detractor or a critic. But to each their own, I suppose.

This show is very enjoyable to watch bringing back that Clone Wars feel with new characters. While I don't believe it is the greatest show to ever exist, anything made by Dave Filoni is a must-watch for me, including this.
