Doesn'#39;t feel like Star Wars. Super Disneyfied. Characters are not very deep or memorable yet. We'#39;ll see as it goes on, but it feels very hollow so far. Edit: After the first 5 or 6 episodes it starts to get way better. Feels like Star Wars now! I just didn'#39;t give it enough time.

The part of the Star Wars universe we care less about gets it'#39;s own show of course. If only Disney could understand that superhero movies and shows are terrible without the superheroes. Would you watch a Superman movie that focuses on Jimmy Olsen?

I wanted to give this a chance since I loved TCW and Rebels. So even after the first episode turned out to be awful I tried to be positive and open minded. I wasn'#39;t even deterred by the rather low rating of 65 %. But when I saw 4,9 on imdb with roughly 25 % giving this a 1 I gave up. I always tell people to form their own opinion but it is hard to believe this is from the same people that did the previous shows. Maybe I watch some episodes on the side but in general I think I'#39;m done with this. Now, after I wrote this I read that Filoni created this but wasn'#39;t the show-runner and instead had other people run this. And suddenly all falls into place. This was the missing piece of information.

Not impressed with Star Wars Resistance at all. its boring lack luster. i just can'#39;t seem to get into it.

If there’s one word that defines Resistance, it’s filler. It’s not as childish as Ewoks or Droids, but it never really takes off or brings anything truly memorable to the Star Wars universe. The cel-shaded animation style already feels off from the start. And the protagonist, Kazuda Xiono, is an overenthusiastic and clumsy pilot who’s hard to take seriously for most of the series. Add to that a supporting cast that borders on ridiculous—especially Neeku, the alien who feels like a badly written parody—and the result is disappointing. What’s most frustrating is that the story had potential: espionage inside an isolated station, the quiet rise of the First Order, and the New Republic’s slow loss of control. But all of that gets buried under tons of irrelevant episodes, forced humor, and a constant feeling that nothing is really happening. Sure, some recognizable villains like Phasma or Pyre are welcome, and characters like Yeager actually work—but they’re the exception. The finale improves things slightly, but it doesn’t make up for the overall dullness. For hardcore fans of the franchise with patience. For everyone else, it’s easily skippable.

Could take it or leave it. It has its moments that surprised me, but for the most part things never really took off with this show and it feels like a pretty big dud compared to other Star Wars animated series. The characters aren't as well written and the show doesn't do enough to make you feel attached to them. Watchable enough to get through the two seasons as a Star Wars fan but never particularly liked it.

It does get better if that'#39;s what you'#39;re wondering. Season 2 is definitely better than Season 1. But it never gets good. It'#39;s clearly meant for a younger audience, which is fine. It just really doesn'#39;t offer anything for older fans. There'#39;s not much nuance or complexity to the stories or characters. The sequel trilogy could really benefit from a show that fills in and enriches the story of the Resistance and the First Order, but this is not that show. There'#39;s nothing essential here, so unless you have young ones to watch it with, I recommend skipping this show. If you'#39;re just here as a completionist like I am, godspeed!

I definitely feel like I wasted time watching this animated series. Not even close to Star Wars Rebels, and rebels not being anywhere close to Clone wars. This is the worst Star Wars series yet. I finished watching it because I am a Star Wars Fan, have been for 42 years. And if more crappy shows come out like this one I will watch them because they are Star Wars, but what can one do. Watch The Mandalorian. Now that is awesome!

Personally I'd rate this show much higher than Clone Wars, for instance. At least SW:Resistance does a good job expanding the universe , while other animation series I've seen just follow the pattern "fill 90% of screentime with the action, the rest is irrelevant".
