> Kae-In and Jin-ho's Forecast : Lots of misunderstanding, misinterpretations until forever-after.

I only watched this show because Lee Min Ho and Park Gae In was in it. The plot did sound funny to me but it turned out to be completely different from what I expected it to be. This has a classic fun idea, but has some story foot-dragging that delayed its end

PLOT

Does it tell the story of a girl who needs to come out of her hidden sense of guilt and find the lost relation to her father? Or is it about this same girl seeking revenge against a cheating boyfriend? Perhaps it tells the adventures of a young man who pretends he's gay, as the title seems to suggest. Or, again, it's the story of a house and how it influences the lives of those living in it.

Park Kae-in (Son Ye-jin) is kind, impulsive, and clumsy. Architect Jeon Jin-ho (Lee Min-ho) pretends/misunderstood to be gay so that Kae-in will accept him as her roommate in the house he hopes inspires a re-design of Art Hall.

I really liked the development and evolution of the characters. The plot was predictable but in a good way, the complexity resided in the evolution of the character’s personalities. Good romances to me paint the picture of how each has something that completes or compliments the other.

CAST

The chemistry is palpable! Lee Min-ho is at his usual "cutesy- fashionably dressed acting", but the hilariously funny one is Son Ye Jin! She made the series! The supporting cast of the two best friends are endearingly funny, too. Loved the cheesy romantic scenes: who doesn't like the classic "Game Over" scene? This drama is simply enjoyable at quarantine times.

The topic of being gay was, for the most part, handled really well, and I was really surprised they had a great gay character — Director Choi might’ve been one of my favorite characters in this, though he made me so SAD [spoiler] that he has no END Game ; while annoying In-hee and Sang-Joon get a happy ending? [/spoiler]

Chang-ryul character was really annoying ; you can't hate him or like him as second lead ; he is full of human emotions , mistakes and bullshit but acts like prince charming to Kae-In.


VERDICT

Overall, it starts in the best of ways, with elements of comedy and all the premises for a very sweet, passionate love story. It loses direction somewhere by the middle, and it doesn't find it back.

There was also some choppy editing/directing ; there was a scene in episode 2 where you can see the camera men partially in the house but mostly it is enjoyable and fun! Its a drama to watch after a heavy melodrama when you want something lighter.

There aren't many shows of Ye-Jin in this decade that are watchable ; so give it a go if you fan of her eating in CLOY
