Overview

Follow the adventures of three ordinary girls as they make life’s awkward moments a thousand times worse. Along with a colorful bunch of classmates, they learn their most important lessons the hard way. Meanwhile down the street, a pocket-sized professor makes life difficult for a robot who just wants to be normal. But normal is the last thing you can expect in a town where salmon falls from the sky. In fact, the only thing you can count on is your friends, but even they are totally weird.

An insight of a Japanese little village, with simple people living simple lives, but told in a surreal and fantastic way. I wish I had this kind of ordinary life. 'lt;3

At first I couldn'#39;t understand what the anime wants to convey. After watching a couple of episodes, well I got hooked. Things could be really interesting in our everyday life than how boring and mundane we think it is. Coming to the other parts, the voice acting is cute af, animation is pretty good and the random story (Doraemon for example) Overall I enjoyed it pretty much, Just give it a go for a couple of episodes

Relentlessly bizarre, nonsensical and sweet. This series has a very Japanese sense of humour so if you don'#39;t know much about the culture and/or language it might not be for you. Regardless, I think this show innovated some kind of strange new genre that I'#39;m coining '#34;heightened slice of life'#34; (patent pending).

Spoilers

This was the weirdest '#39;Slice of Life'#39; I'#39;ve ever seen. Nothing makes sense and the entire anime only consist of over dramatic comic style reactions. Some of the episodes
(4, 14, 15 'amp; 26)
are interesting but rest of the anime is a waste. Watch it only if you know what you'#39;re stepping into. RIP me who wasted his time to find something good in this series.

Beautifully animated, ordinary situations turned absolutely crazy 'amp; just fun every moment, one of the few shows I would recommend to anyone, regardless of age. Love this show

Always fun, relatable, crazy, comedic 'amp; wholesome, this is one of the few shows I can recommend to any type of person.

Highest rating if for nothing else than the wooden cube skitch. It was so freaking cool.

I'll sell a kidney for season 2.

Nichijou is one of the few perfect animes, and the peak of the Cute Girls Doing Cute Things (CGDCT) genre. Every episode elicits a nearly constant smile on my face and occasionally makes me laugh so hard I need to breathe. I have re-watched it several times (after waiting long enough to forget what happened in each episode). I was very happy find out that an English dub was finally created for Nichijou, 9 years after it finished airing. Better late than never! The English dub is great; the voices fit the characters wonderfully. With a fast-paced show like this, it's great to not constantly miss stuff because you were glancing at the subtitles. However, the Japanese voice work is very cute, so I really recommend both the English dub and Japanese with English subtitles. Maybe watch the English dub first, then if you really like it, do a re-watch with subtitles. I hope for a season 2 one day. Currently, the manga (the source material for the anime) has not released enough volumes for a second season. But the manga is apparently still active, so I do have hope that one day enough source material will pile up for a season 2 to be created.
