Saybil can't remember his life before he joined the magic academy. He has the lowest grades, because his amnesia leaves him unmotivated. One day, the school headmaster, Albus, orders him to participate in a dangerous special training. "I want you to spread the use of magic in an area where they hold witch hunts." This story is a spin-off of 'Grimoire of Zero.'

Overall the show was watchable but it was lacking a proper direction. Characters weren't anything unique either. A little more background information would've made this show much better.

Not as good as the prequel. The characters are less interesting, but the drawings and animations are a little better. However, the little Ecchi panty story isn't really my thing either, and it's a bit forced at times. I would have preferred a season 2 that followed the "Grimoire of Zero" Light Novel. :warning: **WARNING** :warning: This anime seems to suffer from the same problem as its prequel and many other anime. The Anime is marked as Ended, the Manga ends at the same point, but the Light Novel continues. I wouldn't bet on another season for this anime. Still, it's good that it doesn't end in the middle of a story arc.

It's okay, the main character Saybil is overshadowed by all the other characters and it's not that they are better... Perhaps the most interesting character in the show is Loux Krystas.

I almost watched this before watching Grimoire Of Zero, but the very last line of the description noted that this was a spin-off of that show, so I watched Grimoire first... Really glad I did, and I would definitely recommend to anyone to make sure they watch Grimoire Of Zero before this...
