I typically struggle with longer dramas. It's often the case that they add so many unnecessary plotlines and pointless flashbacks that by the halfway point I'm already bored, but I had no issue whatsoever with this one.

At first I felt iffy about the villains, but Cheong's cluelessness to everything on land was so adorable it didn't matter. Ultimately, the villain storylines weren't terrible but they weren't amazing either. They provided some drama and eventually faded into the background. The main theme was a love that transcended time and even species. So, if you're a romantic at heart, this is the drama for you.

I enjoyed the banter between the main couple and they seemed very comfortable together. I don't think they had explosive chemistry, it was more like a quiet warmth, but they did a great job together. The one thing I'll say though, is that I wish there would have been more emoting when they communicated without speaking. At times I wasn't sure if Joon Jae was hearing her or not cause his face wouldn't change unless it was to smile at her adorable nonsensical ramblings.

Also, for how hyped up that one kissing scene from this show is (IYKYK) in every "best k-dramas kissing scenes" compilation video, it really wasn't all that. So if you're here because of that, tamper your expectations LOL

The last conflict the writers threw in felt very half-baked and like a last decision minute and I didn't like it. But other than that, this was a very enjoyable drama with fun characters, interesting storylines and good acting. And some cute song choices!
