Overview

The funny, heartfelt story of The Kims, a Korean-Canadian family, running a convenience store in downtown Toronto. Mr. and Mrs. Kim ('Appa' and 'Umma') immigrated to Toronto in the '80s to set up shop near Regent Park and had two kids, Jung and Janet who are now young adults. However, when Jung was 16, he and Appa had a major falling out involving a physical fight, stolen money and Jung leaving home. Father and son have been estranged since.

It'#39;s a funny and relatable show. Family issues, especially some unique to 1st and 2nd generation immigrant families. One of the best shows out right now. No formulaic sitcom tropes, which is great to see

its a fun show. its fast, its short and if you live in toronto (specially immigrants), its very relatable. p.s. Jung is really, really hot. is it just me?

My ol'#39;lady clicked play on this but I been hooked since Mr. Kim flicked a lil white kid in the head for misbehaving bahahaha priceless

I'#39;m enjoying this show a lot. It'#39;s a sitcom revolving around a family, but not all members live in the same building—instead, they'#39;re close-knit and often see their lives intertwine. It doesn'#39;t try to counter this with a bunch of cheesy '#34;touching'#34; moments, either. Oh, and did I mention that it'#39;s hilarious?

Kim'#39;s Convenience and Schitt'#39;s Creek are the two best comedies currently airing - hooray for Canadian original content!

Average season rating: 7.6 It kills me that the spin-off of this show (which one of its co-creators left to pursue) centers on one of the _white_ regulars. Doesn't that fly directly in the face of what _Kim's Convenience_ represented for Canadian (or any other) television? More stories about more diverse people? Such a shame. Give us a Janet or Kimchee spin-off, smh.

Great show! Definitely going to miss it when it ends this year :(

It'#39;s just delightful. I can'#39;t tell you how much a show like this reminds me that not everything is the same and it'#39;s still worth popping your head into something that, if the banner picture is to believed, would make you think it'#39;s a kind of canned series of jokes_but now with Asian characters!_. Nope. This is laugh out loud consistency not just with the main characters, but in letting the support shine. Authentic scenarios draw out equal responses and keep you feeling part of the family instead of watching for where you assume things are headed. I'#39;m proud of the creators and will be advocating for this show at least as hard as I do my other Canadian favorite Letterkenny.

kimchee is so annoying, ugh. i find the parents really sweet though!

STOP! *mini screech* lol lol

Finished watching the show today. Can'#39;t believe such a masterpiece was created right here in Toronto. 10/10, would recommend.

Started watching this to fill the void after I finished Superstore. I really enjoyed it! I’m obsessed with the dad. Although, after watching superstore, I didn’t feel very connected to the characters like I was with the prior. But if you are looking for something light, quick and will make you giggle, its a great show to watch.

Okay! See you Can't believe I'm going to miss this show.

Paul Sun-Hyung Lee makes the show for me. He's hilarious.

I didn't think I would like it, but I really enjoyed this! My sides split a number of times. Just disappointed though that it got cancelled.

This series has an intriguing premise, but the recurring storylines and cliché characters that have barely passable arcs and annoying personalities ruin it for me.
