so for anyone who hasn't watched yet, be aware it's been canceled and the ending is Not designed for a canceled show. not a ton of crazy cliffhangers but still unsatisfying all things considered.

also,
the kitten dies.
most upsetting part of the finale tbh.

i think if you've got a highly romanticized view of greek mythology, you'll dislike this show. if the idea of dionysus and other gods not being heterosexual distresses you, you'll dislike this show. if you're bothered by jeff goldblum kind of dialing it in and just playing himself (a la ryan reynolds, nic cage, and the like) then you'll hate this show.

i like critical retellings of greek mythology (e.g., eurydice and orpheus isn't a love story); i like queer content in my shows; and i love jeff goldblum. so i really enjoyed this show.

some disorganized thoughts: i liked caeneus's storyline a lot, and the way different elements of mythology got woven into a modern universe. i think the acting all around was great, but yeah, jeff goldblum is just being jeff goldblum like 90% of the time - except the anger he displays as zeus. definitely convincing and upsetting!!

i wasn't super invested in riddy, but i don't think the season gave us the chance to get especially attached to her? i was way more invested in dionysus and caeneus's storylines, i think. i also liked
the decision to make persephone and hades a legitimate love story that was misrepresented to humans by hera.
the world building was cool and i'm sad that the show was canceled just because world building is my favorite thing about stories like this, but there's a lot of good mythology-retold content out there (on and off netflix) if you're left wanting more after finishing this show!

The last honeypot? Our viewer: Zeus is slowly deprived from yet another sense of sweetness sanity..
Beauty 'poisoned' by 'bee holder' Hera. "I'm your Queen.."
--[The implication was there. Bit low to slam dunk, pin it into view and rub salt in the wounds. [True chaos is random, yet is a targeted result: even, net loss or destruction. planes of salt]-- zeus is so fckd.. Devours him. black widow.

Hera corrupts and tightens her grip on her prey: a diminished Zeus..clearly out matched. Asks his son to do what he can't. Turned to what he used to hate. Afflicted unable to recover..?

Will new beauty be discovered? [bots; bruteforcing each polarisable -word, homonyms,..]
Old rot removed? [Behind a shield of virtue, Cloacks of human decency [denial, burn at the stake..] Ideal, likely utilised by apex predators to hide]] Zebras vs Lions etc, humans have other blind spots, yet only sheep fail to comprehend.

Does your method (to madness) Chaos: Follow a path of least ressistance: Destruction/submission [yet most actively opposed by few, often late.. ] Riding the wave..
Or obstacle the way: Constructive [phase not goal]? Do trim the hedges first! Better the "Prometheus" you know?

Enjoy the different view[s] + cup of thee. milk&honey if you like.. There's something there, let's see where this goes..
"Love is the point of everything, but often the problem too" [:face_vomiting:]. [bingo....] Zeus becomes monstrous, slays Hera who was owning up... Is both 'shocked' and addicted to the rush of 'power'.
