I liked both the concept and the execution of the show a lot, I didn't find a problem with the host he was funny to me.

It was funny to try to participate myself and guess which ones were cakes, I'll be sure to watch season 2 with friends because that factor makes it the perfect show to watch in company.

there is only one really small thing I didn't like which is that at times it felt "fabricated".

what I mean is, sometimes some events or choices that happened just felt predetermined and not genuine, it's a weird thing to say.

just to make a few esamples, it NEVER happened in the very first part of the game (the one where the bakers have to pick the cake) that nobody actually picked the cake, even more so it was always either all get it or one gets it wrong and two get it right which is just weird.

the other weird thing was how they handled the judges tasting the cakes, most of the time the bakers would just give the judges a slice to taste right away after they revealed if they got it wrong or not, on one episode actually the judges went 0/3 and never picked the actual cake. Now, the show taught us in previous episodes that if multiple people successfully fooled the judges the show would resort to the taste and details of the cakes to determine the winner, and the one episode there is a 3-way tie they conveniently wait until the very end of all 3 rounds to taste the cakes instead of tasting them one at the time like the other times? it just felt silly and fake.

I know this is a silly criticism to make but in this kind of competition shows I really care about sincerity and authenticity because if everything is just fabricated for the sake of it is not a contest, it is just another tv series and it kinda loses flavour in my opinion

other than that, I really enjoyed the show and I will be waiting for season two with excitement
