The British make good police procedural TV. I apppreciate how they intertwine the stories of the investigators into the telling of the mystery or crime that drives the plot of the piece. The intersesting characters (especially DI Helen Weeks) of IN THE DARK was what held my interest. I give this series a 7 (good) out of 10. [Crime Drama]
Too dramatic packed into too few episodes. A new case AND an affair in the beginning, followed shortly by a dead husband and a corrupt boyfirend. It's just impossible. There wasn't enough time for us to become attached to characters before killing them off. Case was intriguing enough for me to finish the season but it was very average unfortunately. Can see why it was not renewed.
