The story fails to hold the viewer for a long time. Execution could've been so much better. A lot of good actors but a lot of cringe with really really bad comedy makes this not worth Vir Das's known standards of comedy. He does a below average job of playing Hasmukh while his struggle to do best is visible, there is not enough depth to the character that keeps people hooked. I would rather imagine a Nawazuddin with better direction and a gripping story line to be a better Hasmukh.

A lot of logical issues and police department is showcased as a stupid one with just one officer who tries to be realistic and wants to solve the case. Doesn't look real at all after a point. Murder cases are just so casually handled which could've been a better job. So many things could've been better with this series.

Also, just wondering how Vir Das decided to do those jokes considering his Prime Special, Jestination Unknown which talks about taking stand-up to cities that were ignored. With the plot having such potential to keep the audience scared of Hasmukh yet show the other side of him doing stand-up could've been a beautiful opportunity. Watch it only if you don't have anything else to watch in life or do.
