A very strong contender for the worst medical drama. The equivalent of filming two patients' beds and calling it a "hospital". From the very beginning they did such a poor job in setting building that it's constantly sticking out in your face. To give a few examples: The hospital is completely dependent on a single skillful witch doctor that otherwise everyone would be dead without his witchcraft which eliminated any hierarchy in the hospital. The hospital had no rules, anyone can come and go as they please, anyone can get a patient into the operation room and perform a surgery and no one faces consequences to anything they do because writing such scenes would take more effort. The hospital management is non-existent, there's only one guy in charge (the bad guy Tae In Ho) with no one around him or beside him managing the hospital. Even worse, the actor is known for his side roles as a subordinate character so giving him a position in charge while lacking any intimidation and gravity to his character has ruined the role and killed the little tension the drama had. There are more examples to this lackluster hospital setting but these were the most obvious.

However, if you managed to over glance the entire setting and just hyper focus on the main 2 leads then the drama is alright. The 2 main leads first encounter and the first episode had an abhorrent and despicable dynamic to watch on screen but, to my surprise, it got a lot better later on and turned out to be fun which was the only reason that saved the drama and made it watchable.

> **Charades with ghosts and quack-doctors**

PLOT
------
As a big fan of medical dramas and love seeing all the surgeries and doctor-patient interactions; but this drama is just shot in the hospital premise and has a little medical aspect, it's more of the ghost world. with ghost and doctor helping each other to fulfill their needs to survive the cruelty of the world proving the title GHOST DOCTOR so apt.

My only grievance with show how unrealistically all senior doctor can't even perform a single operation without Cha-Young Min and had to rely on an Intern-Resident who is possessed by a GHOST to perform their surgeries round the clock. Why are they even there if they cant treat the patients properly? the interns are shown running around every time for emergency and surgery both. And seniors don’t even give the basic treatment to the emergency patient.

This drama while maintaining its ghost essence manages to cover today's society of greed. But it highly disappoints in the romance section, because it seemed very unnecessary in this drama. The secret of ghosts in the body getting exposed in layers is done geniously giving power for some try to use this secret and some protect you while some harm what you cherish.

CAST
------
I loved the entire main cast and ghost support cast of this drama, but KIM BUM's character is amazing and main focal point of the story. He is a man of an exceptional talent . His witty nature and Ghost impolite character were done exceptionally well. I have been a big fan of him and seeing his various character it's hard, to not be one. I initially hated the cockiness and sometimes his PTSD to treat patients in critical phases but the growth of the character was satisfactory.

RAIN was good, I never get impressed by him but he is good. His angst and rudeness are pretty good to watch. His struggles of being a ghost are hilarious. My only problem he seems to have only one ANGRY face and that is shouting hard which doesn't touch emotions as much as other actors.

UEE is such a good actress but this role didn’t utilize her. She didn’t have a big part in the story and just felt like a supporting character and you only see here monotonic sad face or crying all the time ; which admittedly she is very good at but it was over-cooked and over-relied

SON NA EUN character was pretty useless and it doesn't help acting hasn't improved over the years. In middle part of the show you don't see her at all for few episodes ; atleast they should have made more interactions with Kim Bum and developed a strong love-line for viewers.
The three ghosts and their head Tess had also made a good part of the story and at times they feel more involved than both female leads.

Music & Cinematography
-----------------------------
The music was mediocre. “I can Fly Away” is the only OST that gives the vibe of ghost doctors which I enjoyed. The GHOST interaction parts and transitions were smoothly done. They also introduced the innovative concept of Ghosts not passing through and having the ability to open doors and access stuff through parallel space replication was neatly done to reduce the efforts of having to shoot many SFX instead treat the Ghost as another character except when then go into the body.

Overall
--------
To summarize, this drama is a good watch for the bro-ship. You'll laugh at their bickering scenes and silly moments. You'll also grow to like some of the support characters like our coma ghosts. Everything else is just kind of average .

Such a great drama! The most memorable part would probably be the relationship between the two mcs. They came from enemies to lovers... I mean enemies to good friends. Anyways you should definitely try this one!

I also liked that the comedy aspect of the drama and the contrasting attitudes of Seungtak and Youngmin. One is strict and cool, while the other is chill and cute.
