This show was one of my favourites back in the late 90s. I recently started watching this again and boy does this bring back memories. This show coupled with observing my own parents and wider family made me realise what a dumb man-made institution Marriage is. It's just a bunch of people, that don't necessarily like each other, acting as a collective, purely because their society and religious beliefs made them stick together or risk becoming pariahs and outcasts.

My views were controversial (to my parents) at that time, and even now. However, I'm older, wiser and happier with my life today because I decided to go against the grain. I also discovered later in my life that I'm an objectivist and a libertarian. So, when I'm watching this show again today with that knowledge, I'm finding this even funnier. It's well written, with interesting guest character arcs, and an overall fun watch
