Overview
Rejoin Goku and his friends in a series of cosmic battles! Toei has redubbed, recut, and cleaned up the animation of the original 1989 animated series. The show's story arc has been refined to better follow the comic book series on which it is based. The show also features a new opening and ending. In the series, martial artist Goku, and his various friends, battle increasingly powerful enemies to defend the world against evil. Can Earth's defender defeat demons, aliens, and other villains?

Again, it’s ashame that Trakt doesn’t follow tvbd and also just the normal consensus of how the episode are to be in order, there are only 2 season for this series, season 1 is 01-98 and season 2 is 99-167. It was only split on wiki and tmdb to make is easier for western audiences to see it by arc.
Wondering how to Put up requests to fix the Numbering the Special is actually Absolute ep 98 and programs pulling in data from trakt cause the whole thing to go haywire.. when i want 99 ie season 2 episode 1 i get 98 ;( and it causes the whole season to miss number etc..
The cell saga was the best one
I "re-watched" DBZ after only watching an episode here and there when I was a child. My re-watch was about rehashing the story line in a little more detail, since I already know all the sagas from a very high-level perspective. But I don't need 5 episodes of unnecssary power-ups. So I picked DBZ Kai and I am very happy with my choice! It's a good show. 👍
It's a bit predictive and slow paced. But, truly a masterpiece. This show acts as a prelude to dragon ball super which is a major installment to the franchise. Soundtracks are great and the show focuses on every character rather than making them a catalyst for Goku. The only complaint I have is with the titles. They pretty much spill the whole story of the episode. I really hope they fix it soon by renaming the episode titles.
Dragon Ball Z Kai is fire, you skip a lot of the fillers and get to the point.

Why they used woman voice for goku that is dissapointing
@dunpealhunter That'#39;s because it'#39;s the same animation as it was in the original. They remastered it into 720p, cleaned up/removed the bad frames, re-edited and re-dubbed the original series from the 90'#39;s. It'#39;s basically an abridged Dragon Ball Z in HD.
The quality is much better than DBZ and in 720p. ;)
I didnt know there was a new dragon ball serie, cool! I can see from the screenshots that the quality has not improved much since the nineties :/
