This was a happy discovery. I downloaded the iQIYI app to watch two other shows that were on this platform and this popped up as a recommended show, within the app, even though it was a different genre, which intrigued me, so I bit. It is a fantastic story of two best friends with an unexpected but steel tight bond. Then, there are the stories around their friend group, which are equally captivating. I appreciated the real world problems and the fact that they were not resolved with slick, made for media, answers. The two actors who play the female leads are stellar in their performances, but, the acting is solid across the ensemble. There were a couple of surprises for me: the show is set in China, but there is quite a bit of English spoken in their business dealings and most of the songs in the sound track are in English. There seems to be no anti-west cultural bias. This series will have a long life in my memory, and it is now a favourite Asian series for me. I give this series a 10 (fantastic) out of 10.
