"A date is an experience you have with another person that makes you appreciate being alone." Larry definitely appreciates being alone. Curb follows, a parallel universe Larry David, as he turns triviality and pettiness into hilarity and calamity. While there are a number of incredible recurring characters and guest appearances throughout the seasons, there are a few mainstays. Cheryl is Larry's wife who does her best to keep Larry's self-destructive nature in check and maintain some normal relationships for them as a couple. Jeff is Larry's manager and partner in crime. They bring out each other mischievous sides; pushing each other to the brink of social acceptability. Susie is Jeff's loud mouth wife with no patience for either Jeff's or Larry's BS. Susie is rarely fooled for long by the two. Leon lives in Larry's pool house after Larry takes in Leon's sister from New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina (despite Leon living in LA). Leon brings his own brand of cracked wisdom and incredible sayings.

This show is a masterclass in comedy. Larry absolutely kills every episode. I have never belly laughed more from a tv show. The comedy chaos is amazing and Larry David's cranky and generally disgruntled disposition leads him into endless fights and confrontational situations. He's fought with everyone ranging from Jon Hamm to Elon Musk. Larry has taken flowers from a road memorial, picked up prostitutes to use the HOV lane, and negotiated with a sandwich shop owner to switch signature sandwiches with Ted Danson because he didn't like the combination of the Larry sandwich. Larry brings the Seinfeld comedy logic to an even less restrictive environment under HBO. It really doesn't get much better.

"Hear the birds? Sometimes I like to pretend that I'm deaf and I try to imagine what it's like not to be able to hear them. It's not that bad." Turn the volume up on Curb and prepare for one of the best comedy shows ever made.
