Sadly, this series, so influential at the time, now looks and sounds more dated than you might expect from its 40+ years. You should still watch it, though. Carl Sagan was one of the best presenters of 'popular' science and that skill is clearly shown here. But. His speculation about extra-terrestrials is overdone, even repetitive. The remastered / edited DVD version is the one I have, but it has to be said that the extras add little.
