If they’re right, swift action is needed to protect the young patient’s heart. On the children’s ward, a young girl comes in after accidentally swallowing a split pin at school. Staff must decide whether to intervene or if it’s safe to let nature run its course. And it’s an important day for a girl who previously suffered an allergic reaction to peanuts. It’s also a race against time to figure out what’s wrong with a very young boy who arrives by ambulance slipping in and out of consciousness. It’s an anxious time for their families, but the staff move heaven and earth to ensure each little patient gets the best possible care.
