As police unravel this baffling case they find the power couple had a less than perfect marriage. And later, in a quiet suburb of Detroit, beautiful businesswoman Tara Grant disappears after returning home from a trip. When a bloody plastic bag is found in a nearby park, this missing persons case turns into a murder investigation.

Meanwhile, when firefighters in Palo Alto, CA, extinguish the flames from a burning house, they find the charred body of promising young realtor Jennifer Schipsi. Her boyfriend, Paul Zumot, collapses in tears when he learns the horrible news.
