The series is set in New Gotham City, several years after it has been apparently abandoned by Batman. In his absence, Huntress, Oracle and Dinah are now the protectors of New Gotham: the Birds of Prey, and had taken over his war on crime. They are joined by Alfred Pennyworth, who serves Helena as she is heir to the Wayne estate; and Detective Jesse Reese, a police officer confronted with crimes and abilities he cannot explain. A central feature of the series is the concept of metahumans: individuals born with powers that cannot be explained. No two metahumans have the same abilities (unless hereditary), and there exists a whole subculture of metahuman society that the outside world knows nothing about.

Though it’s a little cheesy, _Birds of Prey_ is an impressive superhero series that was caged too soon. The show follows Batman’s daughter, Huntress, as she teams up with Barbara Gordon (formerly Batgirl) and Diana Lance (Black Canary’s daughter) to fight crime in New Gotham; meanwhile Harley Quinn attempts to rebuild the Joker’s criminal empire and cause chaos. Unfortunately, the special effects and sets look a little cheap, and show the budget limitations of the series. And, the writing is inconsistent; being exciting and original in one episode, and clichéd and trite in the next. However, the casting is rather good, featuring Ashley Scott, Dina Meyer, and Mia Sara; who all bring a lot of charisma to their performances. Additionally, the soundtrack adds an extra amount of energy to the show. A fascinating series, _Birds of Prey_ delivers an entertaining 13 episode adventure.

I knew about this show ten years ago, but it was never shown on tv. So I decided to look into it now that there was going to be a crossover with the Arrowverse. I'm really enjoying this show. This Huntress should reprise her role in the Arrowverse in my opinion.

A lot of shows recycle, if anyone watches The Rookie, you see the same houses, the same sets in almost every episode. Unfortunately Birds of Prey recycled too, only they seemed to recycle plots. Like in cartoon, each episode was kind of a stand alone and didn't seem to lead anywhere, it didn't seem More
