A surprisingly good and addictive show, but most particularly clever and original. It is the perfect example of how badly people misjudge something based on a trailer. It was such a pleasant surprise, but also, it's clearly not for everyone. "Big Mouth" has a very smart and humorous way of describing what it is like to be an early teenager. And regardless of how absurd it is, it does it in a very exact and perfect way. It is good, because it has a very solid reason to be explicit, pervert and sometimes violent. That reason is to depict this age of life honestly through pretty grotesque situations and characters. (referring here to the monsters and ghosts) It has a "18+" rating, which is something I don't really get. I honestly believe that it would be better for adolescents to learn about these themes through this series, than to watch some boring educational video at school. Why would this be any different? It is just more humorous and something that they could relate to much more. I think over the age of 12 I would allow this series to everyone, if not recommend it. These things should not be taboos.
