Good one. Very tough to watch throughout, but not because of the usual gut-wrenching drama (though it has its moments) but rather because
it's infuriating to watch our protagonist betraying everyone, often fully aware of it and sometimes even unapologetic. Of course, as we start peeling the layers that make up Jo it's hard not to feel bad for all the stuff that she endures, but it also doesn't help that she almost always pays it forward just as fast, so my empathy was always running thin when it came to her and it was often hard not to give in and just be annoyed that she didn't seem to want to break out of that cycle and, worst of all, blamed everyone but herself and Portia for it. :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:
All in all, I think it's a very raw coming-of-age story that doesn't shy away from exploring how cruel people can be, while growing up and beyond.
