Ragona is best known for directing The Last Man on Earth (1964), an adaptation of Richard Matheson's novel I Am Legend, starring Vincent Price. This film is considered a classic in the science fiction and horror genres, influencing subsequent adaptations of the novel. Ragona's work is noted for its atmospheric storytelling and contribution to Italian genre cinema.
