Turino Junaidy was an Indonesian filmmaker. Born in Padangtiji, Aceh. Education: SLA, Radio Telegraphist course in Medan (1943), Cinematography & film production course in Tokyo (1964), in support of the Colombo Plan. In Sumatra, Turino circulated Egyptian films with satisfactory results. For the first time saw the film Indonesia Waiting for Love (1949) in Medan. He was interested in the film starring Hamid Arief when Turino tried to get Indonesian films in Jakarta to be distributed.
