Miu Sakamoto (坂本 美雨, Sakamoto Miu) was born in Tokyo on May 1, 1980. She is the daughter of musicians Sakamoto Ryuichi and Yano Akiko. She has an older half brother named Futa. She is bilingual, knowing both Japanese and English fluently, due to her move to New York at the age of 9. She remained in New York until she graduated high school. She has also lived in Beijing and South Korea. She began her activities as a musician in Japan in 1997 at the age of 16. She known as a lover of theater, dancing, reading and cats....
