Darius Shu

Darius Shu is a British East Asian cinematographer and director based in London. He loves telling humanistic and poetic stories with striking imagery. He focuses his storytelling on driving societal conversations forward. He does this by incorporating a blend of social awareness and surrealism elements into his films. Some notable examples of his recent projects as a cinematographer are the BAFTA-nominated ITVX documentary Always, Asifa, the Netflix documentary Peach Paradise, Queer Parivaar (winner of the Best British Film award at the Iris Prize 2022) and Where We Came From (2024) starring Emmy winning Archie Panjabi.
