Amal Bedjaoui (in arabic : أمل بجاوي), born in Algiers on July 27, 1963, is an Algerian film director, screenwriter, documentary filmmaker and producer. She is the daughter of the Algerian statesman Mohammed Bedjaoui. Amal Bedjaoui studied film at New York University and graduated from IDHEC in 1985 and obtained a DEA in Cinema from the University of Paris 1 in 1987.
