Blofeld and SPECTRE continuing to be an ongoing thread is really the only good thing about this film. Well, that, and the little bit of 1960s Tokyo we get to see. Everything else is... not good. I'm not one to try and hold ~60 year old films to modern standards, but it's honestly amusing how this manages to not only be sexist (as most old Bond films are), but also rather racist at the same time. The idea of Bond being able to credibly pass as a Japanese man is utterly ridiculous, but they don't even go all the way with it. They show him getting makeup put on his face, but in the following scenes, he barely looks any different. It's like they began to commit to being fully offensive, but then backed off.
Anyways... it's not very good. One of the more lackluster Bond films.

Some notes I had during my rewatch:

- When Henderson first showed up, I immediately thought he was a villain. But that's because it's the same actor who ends up playing Blofeld in Diamonds are Forever. I had totally forgotten that he was in this, as someone else.

- Bond being able to fool the goon driving the car is somewhat believable at first, but there's no way that guy would carry Bond _all the way up to the office_ before noticing.

- How does the screen in the car have a cinematic camera angle shot of the helicopter??? Lmao

- Second Bond film in a row where there's a femme fatale villainess with red hair that has sex with Bond and then is killed off later. It's an oddly specific set of coincidences.

- I love how the cosmonauts calmly allow themselves to be removed from their space capsule and get onto the little tram without any fight. Like, yeah, the people had guns, but no one had a gun in their hand trained on them. They just followed without a single complaint.

- I can understand not realizing the lake was fake from the air. But they were like 5 feet from it on the ground and they still didn't notice it was fake until Bond threw a rock on it. That's nonsense, lol.
