This movie is a sequel, so you should probably watch its predecessor first. I found the world design as well as the animation and CGI for the environment, the special effects and most monsters extremely good. The animation for the humans however fell short, and even seemed to get worse throughout the movie. The eyes felt very unnatural, the mouth movement didn't match the sounds and there were errors like hair clipping through clothes. Towards the end of the movie, the animation style is briefly changed to appear more like drawn animation which looked much, much better than the style of the rest of the movie. Another thing I didn't like was the music which almost always seemed misplaced, like up-beat jazz while people were being murdered. The humor is clearly aimed at children. The story was alright. Overall, there are some really good pictures throughout the movie but also a lot of stuff that I just can't rate 'good'.

Have to watch this again soon, I think I missed a lot because the cgi/graphics were just stunning. My jaw dropped from the first frame.

Great animation and voice actors but I feel like the characters are one note and underdeveloped even the mc to an extent story was decent
