I've given The Last Stand a _ton_ of well-earned shit over the last 18 years (ugh), but I can admit there are some things it did right.

Kelsey Grammer as Hank McCoy was inspired casting.

Getting to see how much Magneto always loved and respected Charles was also nice to see. In the previous two, that begrudging respect was there, but they were always at odds each other's methods and at the time they were released, I figured Magneto would've killed Charles if he had to.
But once Charles was gone in this movie, Eric gets offended at Pyro's callousness towards Charles' death and hit him with "Charles Xavier did more for mutants than you'll ever know. My single greatest regret is that he had to die for our dream to live."
Magneto "relocating" the Golden Gate is still pretty cool. At this point, we'd never seen just how insanely powerful he was, so that was a fun, ostentatious flex on his part, "build bridges" pun notwithstanding.

God, I always forget just how powerful Jean was watching her dust everyone without a single Infinity Stone. And, damn, Logan being able to regenerate fast enough to withstand her still looks cool as shit, especially when we can see his adamantium skeleton.

That "Not for them, for you." and "I love you" is still a kick in the stomach.

Oh, _right_ I totally forgot about the post credits tease of
Charles transferring his consciousness to the brain dead man shown earlier.
Guess the MCU wasn't the first franchise to do that.
