Hmm...yeah, that was a movie. I don't know what's more distracting: The unnatural chemistry or the German accents. Where's Major Hellstrom from 'Inglourious Basterds' when you need him.

A worthy drama to be sure, and an important part of history that shouldn't be neglected. Still, as a piece of film, the occasionally stilted scrips undermines the good intentions of the filmmakers.

I’m a big fan of Amma Asante films which give me stories from a different perspective that has usually been swept under the carpet by history, mainly because the protagonists are black Africans and as most of European history has more or less ignored any contribution by them it is up to Amma and h More
