**7/10** Because I enjoyed it.

**Why I enjoyed it**
Tl;dr -- Camilla Belle is adorable and a legitimately good actress; it's pretty and moody, well shot, and has a serviceable albeit thin plot.

It's a middle-of-the-road horror film. By that I mean quality in the absolute sense, not grading on the Thriller-->Horror movie curve, since horror is likely the genre that stands out as having the most entries being unpalatably bad and lower than average quality from the semi-objective art and technique standpoint.

Really, it's a teen suspense flick, and for that it's effective, and very stylishly shot. Critics don't give enough credit when a "non prestigious" film is shot beautifully, and rises above simply "competent". I don't recall any glaring plot holes, which, sadly, is quite an achievement for a post-nineties thriller. It's also not gratuitously violent or bloody, like films that fit more into the "Slasher" sub-genre than this one. It doesn't try to be _Scream_ and fail miserably; it's just a relatively low-key, comfy thriller, if that's a thing.

_Bias_:
Camilla Belle is gorgeous and has a really cute voice, and she's why this stands out for me, personally. If you particularly like her as an actress, set this on at night in your den/living room and have fun, since it's practically a "one girl show" where nobody else is that important. Also, her character isn't an idiot, but neither is she a mastermind with ice water for blood.
