Where to Watch

Overview

Julian Assange. Bradley Manning. Collateral murder. Cablegate. WikiLeaks. These people and terms have exploded into public consciousness by fundamentally changing the way democratic societies deal with privacy, secrecy, and the right to information, perhaps for generations to come. We Steal Secrets: The Story of WikiLeaks is an extensive examination of all things related to WikiLeaks and the larger global debate over access to information.

This documentary is full of errors that it'#39;s practically a work of fiction, Julian Assange posted a response on wikileaks.org for those wanting to check it out.

Ok I knew nothing about this movie and was amazed at what I saw. No government will ever be able to police the internet. It bacame bigger than they thought and they will FOREVER be trying to catch up with it! I'#39;m saddened by what happened to Bradley Manning. He was clearly troubled and nobody could help him. It was a very sad situation.

Not the whole world resolves around America. Michael Hayden is a proven liar and con-artist himself too. Assange should ask the makers of this film to publicly announce to take everything said in this movie back. This movie is full of American propaganda and self-centered righteousness. The rest of the world's politics might've done equal harm to the world, but for some reason all these documentaries have to only have eye for what happens in the bounds that America operates in. Also all these so-called specialists they are interviewing are known (maybe not even at the time, but surely now) to mostly be scams themselves too. Especially since the Snowden chapter it has shown that what everyone is trying to state in this movie (America suddenly acting as some savior and full open book) is the so manieth layer of their stinking political and money-hungry onion. I guess we can keep getting our hands smelly by peeling, but probably no one will ever reach the center (maybe not even the founders of the whole debacle itself). Even if it might feel tempting to still watch it and judge for yourself. I recommend against it, but if you do; know that this movie reeks of falseness and lies and goes against the idealism Julian Assange stands for.
