Waiting is a tale of two perspectives. An older guy who wants to preserve the status quo, and a younger one who isn't committed enough to really contemplate the permeance of things.

Waiting had the potential of becoming really philosophical, and one of the leads, no point in guessing, could carry that off. However, Kalki Koechlin, albeit sincere in efforts can not stand toe to toe with Nasseruddin Shah and then the movie becomes slightly one-sided.

Rajat Kapoor is there, who like Snape from the Harry Potter universe remains wickedly grey. You do realize his pragmatism, but you also suspect of him having ulterior motives.

At the end of the movie, you don't feel like the time is entirely wasted, but you don't feel like you have had a great experience either. It remains a casual watch and won't be a strong recommendation from me.
