There won't be many people here watching this movie I guess but I write a comment anyway.

Story wise this is really interesting. I live in Germany but not in the area of Wackersdorf. And I was a teenager so I had little interest in politics at the time. Watching this today, it reminds me how politicians are always trying to sell you crap while in truth it is about money and the interests of corporations. If you are opposed to all of that than you're "in the way of progress". That's how it was and still is.
The movie is not a piercing polit-thriller but rather slow moving. It takes time to get to the point. I was initially bored during the beginning but while the plot unfolds it pulled me in. The way this is portrayed serves to understand the issues. Rather than trying to achieve raised drama it directs the attention on the events. This is in all likelyhood a movie much more geared towards a German audience. But I am sure that almost every country has its own "Wackersdorf". If you can understand German (I don't know if there are any foreign versions available) you might give it a try. But as mentioned it is rather special.
