Ambitious, Explosive , Uneven

Vikram is a hardcore and explosive action extravaganza with a star cast to cherish. Lokesh Kanagaraj's latest is a true fan boy tribute to his favorite superstar Kamal Haasan. When a trio as good as Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathy and Fahadh Faasil come together, it evident that the performance aspect of the film doesn't take a hit. They are super solid as Lokesh gives due respect to their characters and their high moments. Kamal Haasan's solid action set pieces, Anirudh's explosive score and visceral cinematography makes Vikram a quintessential mass action flick . Overall, Vikram is predictable and has many inconsistencies during the entire 170min runtime and at times feel underwhelming, but the scintillating performances of the lead trio and Surya's entry as Rolex makes it all Worth it. Lokesh promises an ambitious agent vs gangster universe with the integration of Dill from Kaithi and I can't wait for more to unveil.

Without a doubt the best aspect of the film is the Anirudh's music which is mesmerizing and explosive. Kamal Haasan's action set pieces are well choreographed and shot where his presence seems solid. The mature look demands respect. The quirky humor elements are intelligently placed to give it an entertainer tag. The second best part of the film was Surya a.k.a Rolex's entry. The crowd bursts up with cheers during the final few moments.
